IntelliLux LED^® matrix light

The IntelliLux LED^® Matrix headlights¹ give you glare-free visibility without dazzling oncoming drivers and adjust automatically, so you can drive on high beam without disturbing other drivers. The headlights comprise 16 separate LED elements which react to other vehicles by switching off one or more LED elements.

Because leading technology also means saving energy, our powerful and efficient LED headlight¹ only consumes 20 Watts which results in less CO₂ per car.

Forward collision alert

The new Astra Hatchback offers leading safety-systems and the latest technical security refinements, including:

Forward Collision Alert¹: this safety feature assists automatically with a visual and an audible warning to avoid or mitigate the impact of front-end collisions

Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection^{1, 2}: the system³ monitors the traffic situation in front of the vehicle and if a collision situation is detected, braking is activated.
Lane Keep Assist^{1, 2}: warns and provides gentle steering-wheel pushback when the driver unintentionally drifts out of lane.
Traffic Sign Assist¹: constantly displays speed limits and other traffic signs.

³Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection works automatically above 8 km/h and below 80 km/h. Rear View Camera

Safe parking made simple. The rear-view camera makes reversing a stress-free experience. The on-board display provides a live overview of what’s happening behind you and guidelines help you to manoeuvre and estimate the distances to other objects. Upgrade to the digital version which is available with the Multimedia Navi Pro¹ for even more sharpness and precision.

Advanced Park Assist

Parking has never been so easy. Advanced Park Assist¹ with parking slot detection and automatic steering function allows you to relax while parking safely and quickly. During the parking guidance you will be clearly instructed to move backward, forward or stop the vehicle.

Automatic Cruise Control

Automatic Cruise Control^{1, 2} with Full Speed Range enables a stressless driving experience. By automatically accelerating or decelerating between speeds of 30 km/h to 180 km/h, the Automatic Cruise Control ^{1, 2} helps maintain a safe distance to the car ahead at all times.

Full Speed Range Automatic Cruise Control (FSRA)³. Designed for traffic jams, FSRA lets the cruise control continue even after having come to a full standstill.

Ergonomic Active Seats

Enhance your wellbeing with multi-adjustable Ergonomic Active Seats ¹ with healthy back certification (AGR² ). These driver and front passenger seats offer a wide variety of adjustment possibilities, including lumbar support, seat cushion extension and heating function for the front¹ and outer rear¹ seats.

Also, upgrade your driver seat with in-seat massage¹, ventilation¹ and memory function for your personal setting.
