IntelliLux LED^® pixel light

Introducing the ground-breaking IntelliLux LED^® Pixel Light headlamps¹ - the next step in Opel's pioneering light technology. This system offers vastly improved visibilty in the dark with permanent glare-free high beam visibility without dazzling oncoming drivers. Each headlamp consists of 84 segments which adapt to traffic conditions by automatically switching off individual units.

Head-Up Display

The Head-Up Display¹projects key driver information like speed, sat-nav directions or warnings from Automatic Cruise Control¹ onto the windscreen, keeping your eyes safely on the road.

Automatic Emergency Braking

The Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection^1,2 monitors the traffic situation in front of the Opel Insignia. If this system detects a pedestrian, vehicle or other object ahead, it pre-boosts braking power and will even brake the car itself if the driver doesn’t react.

Rear Cross Traffic Alert

Rear Cross Traffic Alert¹ detects moving objects to the rear sides of your Insignia when reversing out of a parking spot or your driveway and warns you. What used to be an invisible hazard is now easy to manage.

¹ Optional. Active up to 10 km/h, detects rear cross traffic that is travelling up to 36 km/h.

Traffic Sign Assistant

The latest generation Traffic Sign Assistant¹ constantly displaying speed limits and other traffic signs in the Driver Information Cluster and on the Head-up Display¹, if available.

Automatic Cruise Control

Automatic Cruise Control^1,2 with Full Speed Range³ enables a stressless driving experience. By automatically accelerating or decelerationg maintains a safe distance to the vehicle ahead. There's even no need to restart the cruise control after coming to a standstill.³

Lane Change Alert

Lane Change Alert triggers a warning if lanes are changed without indicating. Side Blind Zone Alert^1,2 detects and warns the driver of rapidly approaching vehicles on parallel lanes, currently in the blind spot.

Engines

The new Insignia Sports Tourer offers more performance with less emissions and lower fuel consumption with a broad range of different engines for a truly exciting drive.

From 1.4 Turbo (107 kW/145 hp) to 2.0 Turbo (169 kW/230 hp) Petrol engines to 1.5 Diesel (91 kW/122 hp) and 2.0 Diesel (129 kW/174 hp) – all Insignia powertrains are equipped with Euro 6 D and optimized Start/Stop system.

Fuel consumption combined xx,x - x,x l/100 km; CO₂ -emission combined xxx-xx g/km, according to NEDC. Fuel consumption and CO₂-emission data given are preliminary and have been determined according to WLTP test procedure methodology, and the relevant values are translated back into NEDC to allow the comparability with other vehicles, according to regulations R (EC) No. 715/2007, R (EU) No. 2017/1153 and R (EU) No. 2017/1151.

Transmissions

Manual transmission, stepless automatic, 8- or 9-speed automatic: the choice is yours.

With the new Insignia Grand Sport you can choose between 6-speed manual transmission, stepless automatic, 8-speed automatic or the new 9-speed automatic.

The all new 9-speed automatic transmission with shift paddles offers a greater level of performance, better economy and a noticeably improved level of comfort for the driver.

FlexRide suspension

Customizable Driving Performance. FlexRide¹ allows you to experience three cars in one.

Switch from Standard setting into Tour or Sport to turn your Insignia into an even smoother cruiser or a sporty machine. There are three modes that can be activated: Standard, Tour or Sport. At the push of a button, FlexRide adapts the sensitivity of various systems to match road conditions and your chosen driving style, including the steering wheel, accelerator, automatic transmission and traction control.

All-wheel drive with Torque Vectoring

The all-wheel drive distributes power for a dynamic yet safe and easily manageable driving experience.
